Visual Diary: March 25th

This week I bought the Nikon D700 camera, Nikon AF DC-NIKKOR 135mm f/2 D, and Nikon 50mm f/1.4 D F1.4 AF Nikkor lenses. These photos are of what I see walking down the street and are meant to convey a feeling of Taipei to those abroad.

The week begins at Haufan University.

My T.A.’s Zack above and Benny below are the best!

Tree sculptures at National Taiwan Normal University (N.T.N.U.)

A statue of Confucius at NTNU.

More students…

Along Shida road at night.

Taking the MRT home

Walking home through my neighborhood.

Walking through the neighborhood this afternoon.

Signage selling seaweed.

A stray cat around our apartment block.

Ranjit on his scooter and at home.

Yoda.

Self portrait in a mirror with the new camera.

Beautiful! A warm and engaging post!
I really got a sense of your day through your photos.
Congratulations on your new camera. You must be so excited!
I still love the D70s you helped me choose – I don’t use my camera enough to warrant a new one, but when I do use it, I love what I can capture!

Thanks for your positive feedback Rachelle. The D700 is amazing and I’d had my Fuji for SEVEN years so it was time for an upgrade. It would be nice to see some photos of your daily life…

The self portrait explains it all. From it; it show that you put a lot off yourself into your photography. Keep shooting.

Photos from one day conveys so much about your relationship to your environment. A fruitful theme for transcultural dialogues might be “making our way home” in which intertextual connections inspire the conversation.

Wow the full frame D700. That’s what I desire for, but can’t afford to it. So I just use the old film SLR F801S.

p.s. You are really close to my house(Pu-Chien). That’s why I saw you in Pan Chiao last time.
