Got the apartment and learning Mandarin

The symbol of the Chinese Dragon in Kaiti Style.

Today we found a new apartment. Or I should say it found me. On Sunday I placed a want add on tealit. By this afternoon we had found a great place, for an excellent price, in a good location. Wowsers! The landlord said that she wanted a quiet and clean couple and even negotiated down the rent. Damn! I’ve never had that happen before.

I also got my acceptance into the Mandarin Training Center and in June I will begin a twelve week intensive course studying Mandarin for ten hours a week.. This is good news but also kind of scary. However, when in Rome do as the Romans and when in Taiwan make an effort to learn Mandarin. I’ve also connected with an acquaintance from the art education office for a language exchange. We are going to meet up on Friday for dinner which should be fun…

Yeah, that was pretty cool. My guess is that all of it happened because you were a woman posting the add (with a hubby). She said that she didn’t want any single males, but single females were allowed!

    Good job!

EXCELLENT GOOD MATE! Good show! So happy for all of us moving to new dwellings. You’ll have to chronicle your mandarin meddlings, I’m sure you’ll have no problem at all.

Congratulations Jo! I’m so happy to hear that you’ve found a place you like in the area you want. Double kudos on your acceptance to the Mandarin Training Center. We’ll be conversing in Chinese in no time. I’m looking forward to it!
