Yesterday Range and I went shopping for some new clothes. It is still a bit cold here in Taiwan, (lows of 10 degrees but without any heating!), so we decided to take advantage of some of the winter sales. Range went to NET and bought himself three news jackets and three pairs of pants. (Sometimes it is nice to be married to fashion conscious Quebecois man who knows how to shop;) Later we decided to head downtown to SOGO, a large department store that is similar to Canada’s Holt Renfrew to see if there were any deals on winter coats.
While I wanted to get a new elegant wool coat Range was hell bent in making the most of the Oakley and Columbia sales. Range can be quite stubborn at times. He bought himself a new Oakley down jacket and encouraged me to buy a somewhat stylish Oakley winter vest. Next came the battle over the coat. I wanted a new ladylike coat but Range was insistent on a new down jacket. Seeing as I can not yet afford anything from Vivienne Westwood I relented and reluctantly bought my aesthetically uninspiring Columbia gortex jacket.
However, I feel really glad about my new jacket and are happy I let Range talk me into buying it. It is really comfortable and warm. Definitely worth it. Moreover, it is also raining today so I’m going to be snug and toasty.
