Let the good times roll: Ayuthaya and Bangkok Day 4

O.K. so we are in day four of our trip to Thailand.  Sure enough we are getting into the vacation vibe and all of the worries and concerns over our day to day life in Taiwan seem far away and removed.

Yesterday we had a wonderful time at Ayuthaya taking in the 400 year old temple and palace ruins.  However, after visiting about six different wats in one day I am a bit watted out.  Wat’s happening!  Wat’s going on?  Let’s wat and roll!  Needless to say I am looking forward to travelling to Puckett tomorrow and enjoying a more relaxing pace.

Today we returned back to Bangkok and I did some shopping, buying two more tunics and some products to help me escape the sun.  So far I have not been sun-burnt but my shoulders and for-arms are feeling very crisp.  To take a break from the heat we decided to catch  a movie so I ran in line and got us some tickets to see Dreamgirls.  Range definitely did not want to see the movie, but I did and had to coax him to see it.  He complained a bit and said it was a total chick movie but I really liked it.  The costumes, actors, story, and songs are definitely entertaining.  Jennifer Hudson stole the show and I hope she wins that Oscar.  Her voice is a triumph and she definitely gave a ball busting performance.

Right now we are just taking a break at an internet cafe before heading out for the night to take some more photos.  We are planning on heading downtown tonight to snap the Royal Palace lit up in the evening sky.  Wish me luck in lugging my tripod……

    Hey Jo,

I’m glad to hear you guys are having fun and so sorry to hear about your camera woes. I got a giggle out of this post as your true Jo-isms are shining through. I’ve had “Let’s wat and roll” in my head all day. We’re looking forward to seeing you both when you get back and, I for one, will be looking forward to looking at your awesome pix!
